Clinton, MS

In our ongoing effort to promote and support the future of Information Technology and Cybersecurity in the State of Mississippi, specifically the students of our great institutions, the CompTIA AITP Jackson Chapter is collaborating with Mississippi College for its April meeting.

The on-campus “pizza party” will include a lecture on NoSQL by MC faculty member Dr. Glenn Wiggins, professor of engineering, computer science and physics. Dr. Wiggins has a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State, master’s degrees from Mississippi College and Jackson State, and a Ph.D. from Southern Miss.

The second portion of the evening will include a round-table discussion for the students, focusing on job opportunities, employer expectations, trends in I.T. and Cybersecurity, and how to best position yourself for the future.

Mississippi College now offers a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance and is hosting its first Cybersecurity Summit, next week (April 10-11).

So please join us from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Mississippi College in Room 402 of the Math, Chemistry & Computer Science Building.
